It’s that time again! Full Throttle Indoor Karting is kicking off the 2012 Fall League Series sponsored by Jimmy John’s on Monday, October 1st! The Spring Series brought great action to the Full Throttle track, with drivers Zach McDonald and Jeff Calhoun in a tight battle entering the final round – McDonald wound up victorious, clinching the championship in the last night of competition. The exciting racing will continue in just a few short weeks with the ten-week Fall Series!
The Details
The first night of competition for the 2012 Fall League Series will be Monday night, October 1st. Each night of competition is $40 with a deposit of $80 due by the registration cut-off date. This deposit will cover the driver’s final two races of the series. League races will begin at 6:45PM on Monday nights, with the draw to set the grid starting at 6:30PM. The Fall League Series will run for 10 weeks, with the final round being on Monday, December 3rd. We will score each drivers’ best 8 of the 10 weeks and the driver with the most points at the end of the season will be the champion! The Format
The Fall League Series will use the ultra-competitive Random Draw format that produced such great racing for the Spring Series. Each league night consists of three 15-lap heats. At the beginning of each night, each driver draws a number to determine the first heat starting order. The starting order for the second heat is the inverse of the first heat starting order. For example, the driver starting 1st in the first heat will start last for the second heat. The third heat starting order is determined by the average finish of each driver from the first two heats. In the case of a tie in average finishes, the driver with the fastest lap in either of the first two heats starts in front. Each driver earns points for their finish in each heat, and the driver with the most points at the end of the night is the winner!
