Active members who have points on their account (prepaid, unused races) may reserve a spot in a race by calling ahead. A minimum of 2 hours advance notice is required to reserve a race. Reservations are limited to the number of remaining prepaid races on the account. Race times are approximate, and the member should arrive to allow ample time to register, get equipment and make it trackside in time to load. Member reservations will not be made for heats after 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays, so members will need to call in by 4pm at the latest on these days to reserve heats.
Group reservations must be for a minimum of 6 people
Reservations must be made 4 hours in advance (no reservations taken after 1PM on Fridays and Saturdays)
Reservations must be paid in full at the time of reservation
Reservations are made for time of arrival; race time is approximately 45 minutes after time of reservations
Full Throttle reserves the right to add other customers to reserved races if reservation is for fewer than 8 people
No reservations may be booked for after 5PM on Fridays and Saturdays
Customers with races reserved must check in upon arrival
No refunds will be given for groups with fewer racers than paid for at time of reservation
No refunds will be given for missed races; Full Throttle will make its best effort to book party in next available race, but schedule changes will not be made to accommodate for missed races
Customer credit can be carried forward to another day or credited to another customer’s account
Cancellations made 24 hours ahead of time will receive a full refund or race credits
Walk in customers wishing to book a later time than when they arrive (i.e. walking in at 1pm to book at 8pm) must have the entire group complete the registration process, including signed waivers, and pictures, and have all racers paid for before races can be reserved.
Reservations will not be made for consecutive heats. Reservations for more than one heat will be placed, at minimum, in every other heat.
Racers who miss their heat will be removed from the heat. Late racers may be placed in the next available heat. Schedule changes will not be made to accommodate racers who miss reserved races; it is the customer’s responsibility to be on time.
No group reservations will be allowed after 6PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
Reservations are scheduled for a specific group size. If the group size is different than scheduled, there is no guarantee that additional racers can be accommodated in the same timeframe as the reservation.
Full Throttle reserves the right to fill heats with additional racers if the group size is smaller than a standard heat size.
If a customer cancels a reservation with at least 24 hours’ notice, the cancellation is eligible for a full refund or credit on account for use at a later time.
No refunds will be given for groups that miss their reserved race. Groups may be scheduled into the first available race or a credit will be applied to the customer account for use at a later time.
Full Throttle Indoor Karting has a “No alcohol or drug” policy for all participants. The Manager on Duty reserves the right to deny anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs from participating in racing events.
Full Throttle maintains a portable blood-alcohol detection device (Breathalyzer) which may be used for any participant suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. The results of the test, in addition to manager discretion, will be used in determining if a participant is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
No alcohol may be brought into the facility for group events, even for non-racers. Ohio “Open container” and “Operating Under the Influence” laws are in effect inside Full Throttle facilities.
Full Throttle Indoor Karting promotes safe and responsible driving. In accordance with Ohio revised Code section 1711.551, all go kart operators are required to drive in a manner so as not to cause injury to others or damage to go karts. Drivers are expected to follow instructions and heed all flags and communications from Full Throttle personnel. The track is monitored and aggressive driving will not be tolerated. Aggressive drivers will be shown a black flag and given a consultation to indicate their infraction.
If warnings go un-heeded, a driver may be identified as a repeat offender. Repeat offenders may be asked to leave, and no refunds will be given to drivers asked to leave due to aggressive driving. Drivers may be marked in the Full Throttle Timing System as habitual offenders and will not be allowed to participate in future races. The loss of driving privileges is at the discretion of the Manager on Duty.
Full Throttle Indoor Karting uses video surveillance equipment to monitor activity and incidents on track. Incidents involving repeated warnings, collisions or kart damage or injury are reviewed by management staff to ensure proper handling and accountability.
If, upon review by management, damage to go karts, track or other Full Throttle property is deemed to be the result of driver negligence or willful driver misconduct, the offending driver may be billed for the parts and labor to repair any and all go karts involved in an incident. Failure to pay for damages resulting from willful misconduct will result in loss of driving privileges at Full Throttle Indoor Karting.
Indoor go karting has inherent risks and, by agreeing to the terms of the waiver of liability, the individual or minor guardian of each participant accepts these risks. If an injury occurs due to willful driver misconduct, the terms of Ohio revised code section 1711.551 will be enforced to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Question |
Answer |
| What is the minimum age for drivers? | Individuals at least 8 years old and 48” tall can drive |
| Do I need a license to drive? | No! |
| Can I use my own helmet? | Absolutely – as long as it is full-faced. Motocross helmets and open-face helmets are not allowed. |
| Do I need to own my equipment? | No, Full Throttle has everything you need to race. Be sure to wear close-toed shoes – no sandals, flip-flops or other shoes that don’t attach firmly to your feet |
| Do I need to be a member to race? | No, our racing is open to anyone that meets the age and height requirements. Be sure to check the online calendar for special events when the track may be closed to the public. |
| Do youth and adults race on the same track? | Yes, but in different heats. |
| Do youth and adults run at the same time? | No, we run youth with youth and adult with adult. This ensures everyone stays safe. |
| Can big or tall drivers fit? | The Sodi RX-7 has adjustable pedals and seats and a longer frame. The karts were ordered with extra-large seats to accommodate a wide variety of sizes. You can always ask for a courtesy-fit if you are unsure. |
| What can a smaller-framed driver do to fit better in the seat? | We have seat inserts available for smaller drivers. The seat insert helps ensure a snug fit. Ask in pit lane – our crew can help get you comfortable. Remember – the seats and pedals adjust. |
| Who can sign a youth liability waiver? | The waiver needs to be signed by the minor’s parent or legal guardian. Click HERE to download a copy of our waiver. If a parent or legal guardian will not be present, he or she may fill this form out and send it in with their child. |
| What is the secret to be fast? | Practice and smooth driving will be rewarded with improved lap times. Too much sliding or trying to drift will slow you down…Remember in the slower turns – slow in=fast out. |
| Is help available to get me faster? | You bet – we are all racers at heart. Ask our crew for pointers. We keep track maps available and are always willing to provide tips to get the most out of each lap. |
| My son/daughter is very fast / very big / very special, etc …Can they drive the adult karts? | Once they’ve earned it – absolutely. We offer a graduated driving program to allow youth to test up to the adult karts. We are happy to run a driving test and let them show off their skill (Driving tests are not conducted during peak times). They need to demonstrate the ability to turn consistent laps under 34.5 seconds in the youth kart to qualify to take the test. Once they qualify, they need to demonstrate control and be able to consistently turn laps under 32.0 seconds in the adult karts. |
| Is there any special time when youth can take the test? | Yes – we need to do it when the track is quieter. No testing will be done after 12:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. It is up to the on-duty manager to allow the test or not. |
| I have a race ticket with a lower heat number than is currently running – did I miss my race? | Our scheduling system automatically assigns heat numbers. We do run races out of sequence from time to time for various reasons. Watch the monitors and screens in the track and waiting areas to keep track of heat numbers. If you have a question – please ask. |
| What the heck is RPM? | RPM stands for Racer’s Performance Measurement. It is a handicap based on your experience (number of races) and performance (against others on the track). Each racer starts with 1200 points. Points are won or lost based on lap times and experience. |
| How is RPM calculated? | Beats us. It’s some sort of magical calculation that requires us to have this really cool software to determine. Wish we could tell you more – but we can’t. |
| How do I get into league racing? | Easy – you must be a member, and simply sign up during our sign up sessions. We will run a variety of formats to keep the racing interesting. |
| They run gas engines indoors? What about exhaust gases? | We installed a state-of-the-art ventilation system that constantly moves air into and out of the building. We monitor air quality with a series of sensors, and the system adjusts to conditions to ensure adequate ventilation. |
| Do you host birthday parties? | Yes we do. Ask our group sales specialists to help put that memorable party together for you. See our Birthday Parties page for more info about our packages! |
| I have a group of buddies looking for a different format – can we do something special? | Sure – we can run different formats for groups of 8 or more. Keep in mind, we can’t run special formats during our weekend busy times (after 6 PM on Friday or Saturday). Check the racing formats under the Group tab on the website – or let one of our specialists build a custom format for you. |
| Can I reserve a race time? | Members with points on their account can call ahead and reserve an individual spot in a race. We require at least 2-hours’ notice for members to reserve a spot. Click HERE for more information on our reservation policy. |
| I missed my race – now what? | Our crew will do their best to get you scheduled into the next available time slot, or we can schedule in for a future date. |
| Can I bring beer or alcohol in for a private party? | No, Full Throttle is an alcohol-free facility. We are insured as a motorsports facility, and cannot allow alcohol into the building. |
